General Philosophy

We have chosen Natural Horsemanship as our guiding philosophy. Often referred to as "horse whisperer" training, this is a gentle way of relating to and guiding the horse without being harsh. The goal of the horse and the rider is to form respect for each other. Students learn about the nature of horses and how to work with that nature to build confidence and trust in the relationship between horse and rider.

We provide opportunities for show and information about workshops around the area. Check out our photo album to see some of the events in which Pleasant Valley Horse Club riders participate.
Class

At the end of each season parents gather to watch their child perform in our Western Pleasure and Trail school show. Watch your child perform his or her new skills leading peers safely on a trail ride. Let your child demonstrate his or her new found sense of responsibility and partnership with an equine friend.
