Trail Rides

We provide trail rides to families and friends by request. Please schedule a trail ride by contacting us.

Cattle Sorting

Currently cattle sorting is taking place on every other Saturday 10-1. We trailer out to Prunedale and practice sorting competition style in a friendly, schooling atmosphere. Great way to get experience for horse and rider, and to make new friends. Cattle Sorting is really popular with kids and adults (we ask each other all week, "are you going to cows?"), so get your spot ahead of time! Sorting is $35 per person (with an initial one time club fee also of $25), and a $30 trailer fee if you trailer with us. See our photo album.

Equine Massage

Interested in providing your horse with Tellngton Touch and Reiki massage? Great for rehabilitation or just plain relaxing your horse. Richard Newton MFA, EBW, Reiki II provides massage for horses, and is willing to do clinics at PVHC. Watch Richard work and see your horses respond. Call PVHC for more information on Richard's work.

Natural Horsemanship Clinics

Michelle is trained in Natural Horsemanship and is willing to talk with you about her background. She also invites other Natural Horsemanship trainers to give clinics at PVHC. Alex, our new trainer, has experience with Parelli Level 2. We also bring in outside trainers from the area to demonstrate their particular focus with Natural Horsemanship, training both horse and rider to respect each other and communicate better. Learn how horses think and how to work with your horse the natural way.

Roping Clinics

Ron Rogers provides roping training for those who are interested.

Outings

We trailer out to the beach, to parks around Santa Cruz County. Please contact us to participate in a beach or park ride. See our photo album for beach ride pictures.

Other Events

We are interested in providing other clinics. Let us know if you want to participate in:
